A gym friend is a friend like no other - they see you at your sweaty finest, struggling and grunting to get a PR. This maternity and newborn session is particularly special because it was for a good friend, who I happened to meet at the gym. Watching her go from PR’ing in the gym to becoming “mama” has been amazing!

Maternity Session in Kennett Square
We started with a maternity session in the picturesque town of Kennett Square. Knowing these two for some time, I knew they often spent their date nights downtown, so it made sense to have their maternity session in the center of it all. As a Kennett Square photographer, I always aim for locations that offer a blend of natural beauty and personalization.
Welcoming a New Life: Newborn Photography
A few weeks later, I had the honor of photographing their sweet newborn in my cozy studio near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The studio is so close to the Delaware border, it’s difficult to distinguish the two states!) As a Philadelphia newborn photographer, I strive to create a calming atmosphere where new parents can relax while I focus on capturing their baby’s delicate features and first precious moments.
We chose a mix of neutral tones and soft textures to keep the focus on the baby’s natural beauty. Every little yawn, stretch, and tiny detail was documented.
