Oh, hello!

Some people call me the Baby Whisperer, others wonder if I'm a Baby Sorceress. And still, others ask if I'm available to help calm their crying babies at home - sorry folks, I've got two babes of my own to take care of after I snuggle your sweet new little one!

I’ll use my 15+ years of newborn experience to photograph your beautiful new baby using neutral props and colors to enhance the beauty of what you’ve created. It's true, your eyes may water a bit when you see your stunning images. (I won’t tell anyone, I promise!)

Newborn Photo Session Details

Newborn babies are best photographed within the first four weeks of life. Babies remain squishy and sleepy during these first few weeks.

To secure availability in the booking calendar, pre-booking is highly recommended. However, please don't hesitate to reach out if the baby has already arrived. I can typically schedule a few last minute requests per month.

Newborn sessions:

 

  • Run approximately 2.5-3 hours in length

  • Include family images (parents + siblings) on one fine art inspired, or solid backdrop

  • Baby will be posed on approximately five neutral sets, using a variety of buckets, bowls, blankets, swaddles, and outfits

  • Galleries will contain approximately 45-60 beautifully retouched images to select from

Each newborn session has a Studio Fee, which contributes toward the preparation of each session (cleaning, laundering, and curating the set ups) and the props usage. Studio Session Fee: $200. Packages are purchased separately.

All studio session require an in-person Ordering Appointment to select your package. Ordering Appointments are held on Fridays (about two weeks after your session). Packages are paid for on the day of your Ordering Appointment and digital images will be delivered via email by that afternoon.


NEW FOR 2025! You're in charge of your package! With a minimum purchase of $600, you can pick and choose what suits your family best. Digital collections? Products for the walls or shelves? Choose only what you LOVE!

Digital groupings being at $300, and print products begin at $125.

I'M INTERESTED! WHAT'S NEXT?

Submit the Contact Form below and I'll be in touch! We will go over all the session details, including what to bring, what to expect on the day of your session, what to wear, and pricing / packages.

HOW DO I OFFICIALLY BOOK MY SESSION?

When you're ready to book your session, the studio session fee and photo contract is due. Once your baby is born, you will email me within 48 hours of giving birth - it is best to photograph the tiniest ones under 21 days, but I will photograph as a newborn up to one month of age.

WHAT'S THE SESSION LIKE?

On the day of your session, we will photograph family portraits and images of the baby alone. Typically I begin with family and sibling portraits, although workflow is flexible depending on siblings and baby. Once family portraits have been made, you get to sit back, relax, and watch me create stunning images of your new baby. Siblings are welcome to stay and play in the studio (there are games and Disney+), or, take a stroll with a family member around beautiful downtown Kennett Square! One parent is required to stay at the studio at all times.

Before leaving the studio, we will schedule your Reveal & Ordering Appointment for about two weeks later.

HOW WILL I SELECT MY IMAGES?

Before leaving the studio, we will schedule your Reveal & Ordering Appointment for about two weeks later. These are usually scheduled on Fridays. At this appointment, you will build your package, choosing only the products that you LOVE! Select your digital fiels to keep, choose your products, and pay for your products. 

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND THE ORDERING APPOINTMENT?
Yes. Online galleries are not optional. All ordering is done in-person so you can browse through the products available, and use me as your resource for the selection process.
WHAT DO WE WEAR / BRING?
We will go over this when we chat about the session details! But in general, neutral clothing is best so the attention remains on the baby and the family as a whole. As far as what to bring, the studio stocks all props that the baby will need (wraps, blankets, outfits, etc). You are welcome to bring snacks and lunch, as we will be photographing well into lunchtime hours.
WHAT IF BIG SIBLING / BABY DOESN'T COOPERATE?

Big sibling has just gone through a major life change. A little patience can go a LONG way! I'm like the Mary Poppins of photographers - with a variety of tricks up my sleeve, I can assure you we will get those images. 

As for baby, again - a little patience can go a LONG way! You just let me worry about that. There's plenty we can do with an awake baby. It's rare, but in the case that the baby just won't calm down (they can't use their words, we don't know if they're gassy, hungry, not getting enough food, overtired, etc, etc). We will try again in a day or two. You'll have a full gallery to view, I promise!

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK? WHAT ABOUT BAD WEATHER?
It happens, unfortunately! I realize that rescheduling can be a bit of an inconvenience, but I will NEVER put a baby or family at risk if I am not feeling well. If this is the case, I will simply email you (either the evening before, or the morning of) and reschedule for the following week. 

Likewise, I will never risk a family's safety if we are due for weather to cause unsafe driving conditions. In the event of a snowstorm, hurricane, etc - we will reschedule for a few days later, when road conditions have improved. 

Your portraits are extremely important, and it can seem worrying when you've contantly been told "We have to photograph before the baby gets too old!" I am a firm believer in NOT stressing over your portraits - a photo session can be rescheduled - your family's safety will ALWAYS come first!

Please prepare for flexibility.
