Oh, hello!

Some people call me the Baby Whisperer, others wonder if I'm a Baby Sorceress. And still, others ask if I'm available to help calm their crying babies at home - sorry folks, I've got two babes of my own to take care of after I snuggle your sweet new little one!

I’ll use my 16+ years of newborn photography experience to photograph your beautiful new baby in my Kennett Square newborn photography studio using neutral props and colors to enhance the beauty of what you’ve created. It's true, your eyes may water a bit when you see your stunning images. (I won’t tell anyone, I promise!)

Newborn Photo Session Details

Newborn babies are best photographed within the first four weeks of life. Babies remain squishy and sleepy during these first few weeks.

To secure availability in the booking calendar, pre-booking is highly recommended. However, please don't hesitate to reach out if the baby has already arrived. I can typically schedule a few last minute requests per month.

Newborn sessions:

  • Run approximately 1-3 hours in length (depending on your session selection)
  • Are held in the studio using carefully selected props to create a timeless gallery of images
  • Galleries will contain approximately 10-35 beautifully retouched images (depending on your session selection)

Types of Newborn Sessions

One-Wrap Mini Session
A one-hour mini-newborn session in the studio for baby only (no family or siblings). Baby will remain fully wrapped with one color selection (color choice will be made prior to your arrival). 

  • 10 digital files included with print release
  • Each image professionally printed as a 5x7 and delivered directly to your door

$395 + tax

(For twins: You may book two One-Wrap Mini Sessions, and we will photograph the babies in two wrapped sets together while also photographing their own individual set. Each twin much have their own session booked for a Mini-Session.)
Simply Swaddled Baby Session
You may select from two options:
A session for the baby only, which will include 4-5 different sets and multiple props,
-OR-
a mini-family session + individual baby poses on 3 color sets and props

The baby will be posed and wrapped in a variety of colors and sets. Poses vary based on baby's sleepiness and age.
  • 25 digital files included with print release
  • (2) 11x14 professional prints delivered directly to your door

$895 + tax

(Twins: +$200)
Family Newborn Session
A full family session + baby session - beginning with family portraits (and siblings with the baby, if any). The baby will be posed with the whole family, each parent, and siblings. Following family portraits, we will continue the session with the baby wrapped and posed in a variety of colors and sets (4-5 sets).

Poses vary based on baby's sleepiness and age.
  • 40 digital files included with print release
  • (1) 16x20 professional canvas delivered directly to your door

$1395 + tax
(No additional charge for twins)

(OR Family Album: $1950 + tax)

FAQ

I'M INTERESTED! WHAT'S NEXT?

Submit the Contact Form below and I'll be in touch! We will go over all the session details, including what to bring, what to expect on the day of your session, what to wear, and pricing / packages.

HOW DO I OFFICIALLY BOOK MY SESSION?

When you're ready to book your session, the studio session fee and photo contract is due. Once your baby is born, you will email me within 48 hours of giving birth - it is best to photograph the tiniest ones under 21 days, but I will photograph as a newborn up to one month of age.

HOW WILL I SELECT MY IMAGES?

Your gallery is "all-inclusive," which means you will receive the number of images that you select in your package. The number of images you receive will depend on which package you select.

WHAT DO WE WEAR / BRING?
We will go over this when we chat about the session details! But in general, neutral clothing is best so the attention remains on the baby and the family as a whole. As far as what to bring, the studio stocks all props that the baby will need (wraps, blankets, outfits, etc). You are welcome to bring snacks and lunch, as we will be photographing well into lunchtime hours.
WHAT IF BIG SIBLING / BABY DOESN'T COOPERATE?

Big sibling has just gone through a major life change. A little patience can go a LONG way! I'm like the Mary Poppins of photographers - with a variety of tricks up my sleeve, I can assure you we will get those images. 

As for baby, again - a little patience can go a LONG way! You just let me worry about that. There's plenty we can do with an awake baby. It's rare, but in the case that the baby just won't calm down (they can't use their words, we don't know if they're gassy, hungry, not getting enough food, overtired, etc, etc). We will try again in a day or two. You'll have a full gallery to view, I promise!

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK? WHAT ABOUT BAD WEATHER?
It happens, unfortunately! I realize that rescheduling can be a bit of an inconvenience, but I will NEVER put a baby or family at risk if I am not feeling well. If this is the case, I will simply email you (either the evening before, or the morning of) and reschedule for the following week. 

Likewise, I will never risk a family's safety if we are due for weather to cause unsafe driving conditions. In the event of a snowstorm, hurricane, etc - we will reschedule for a few days later, when road conditions have improved. 

Your portraits are extremely important, and it can seem worrying when you've contantly been told "We have to photograph before the baby gets too old!" I am a firm believer in NOT stressing over your portraits - a photo session can be rescheduled - your family's safety will ALWAYS come first!

Please prepare for flexibility.
