Yep, the Baby Whisperer can also come to you! If your vibe is more "cozy at home," then this style of newborn session might just be for you. 

I’ll use my 15+ years of newborn experience to photograph your beautiful new baby using your own beautiful home to enhance the beauty of what you’ve created. The house that you bring you new baby home to is such a special place - we can capture baby's first home while documenting the first few days in a natural, lifestyle session.

In-Home Newborn Session Details

The best part about In-Home Newborn Sessions is that they can take place at any time! While we all want to document those first few days after birth, sometimes it's just not feasible, or, simply, we just aren't up for it! In-home newborn sessions can take place within the first two weeks after birth, or up to a few months of age.

To secure availability in the booking calendar, pre-booking is highly recommended. However, please don't hesitate to reach out if the baby has already arrived. I can typically schedule a few last minute requests per month.

In-Home Newborn sessions:

 

  • Run approximately 1-1.5 hours in length

  • Include family images (parents + siblings) through out the home

  • Baby will be held, cradled, and photographed in a natural, flattering way. 

  • Galleries will contain approximately 45-60 beautifully retouched images.

FAQ

I'M INTERESTED! WHAT'S NEXT?

Submit the Contact Form below and I'll be in touch! We will go over all the session details, including what to expect on the day of your session, what to wear, and pricing / packages.

HOW DO I OFFICIALLY BOOK MY SESSION?

When you're ready to book your session, the session fee and photo contract is due. We will plan your session anywhere from 2 weeks of age up to one year.

WHAT'S THE SESSION LIKE?

On the day of your session, we will photograph family portraits and images of the baby alone. We will usually use the main living/family room, master bedroom, and baby's nursery, although you may have rooms in your house that are special to you, and we can absolutely use those rooms, as well!

HOW WILL I SELECT MY IMAGES?

In-Home Newborn Sessions are all-inclusive, which means you will receive the entire digital gallery (approximately 40-60 images) with your package purchase. 

WHAT DO WE WEAR / BRING?
We will go over this when we chat about the session details! But in general, neutral clothing is best so the attention remains on the baby and the family as a whole. 
WHAT IF BIG SIBLING / BABY DOESN'T COOPERATE?

Big sibling has just gone through a major life change. A little patience can go a LONG way! I'm like the Mary Poppins of photographers - with a variety of tricks up my sleeve, I can assure you we will get those images. 

As for baby, again - a little patience can go a LONG way! Since these sessions have a natural feel, we are not concerned with the baby being asleep, but we do want baby in good spirits! We will plan for plenty of time to feed, snuggle, and relax!

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK? WHAT ABOUT BAD WEATHER?
It happens, unfortunately! I realize that rescheduling can be a bit of an inconvenience, but I will NEVER put a baby or family at risk if I am not feeling well. If this is the case, I will simply email you (either the evening before, or the morning of) and reschedule for the following week. 

Likewise, I will never risk a family's safety if we are due for weather to cause unsafe driving conditions. In the event of a snowstorm, hurricane, etc - we will reschedule for a few days later, when road conditions have improved. 

Your portraits are extremely important, and it can seem worrying when you've contantly been told "We have to photograph before the baby gets too old!" I am a firm believer in NOT stressing over your portraits - a photo session can be rescheduled - your family's safety will ALWAYS come first!

Please prepare for flexibility.
